Anybody find it interesting that the homerun record is on the verge of being broken and nobody is really talking about it?
Bud Selig is still trying to decide if he is going to show up for the record breaking with no explantion of why. Hank is mad because of the whole steroid issue and he won't be there. That is kind of crazy. Steroids or not you still have to make contact, solid contact to hit it out. It still is the hardest thing to do in sports -round ball /round bat and hit it square. Without a doubt the single hardest thing to do in sports is to be a good hitter. Failure 7/10 and your a millionaire! easy huh! No other sport can you fail that much and be considered good.
Hitting is simple yet complex within its own simplicity! sg12

I think it is interesting that we accept that a hitter is only going to get a hit 3 out of 10 times. I think this is a mental barrier that, if overcome, we could see more players hitting 500. How's that for stirring it up?
